I agree with everyone. Also I would like to see some bathrooms that are in South Fla. , all your bathrooms are from norther states, which does not help us in the South. I do enjoy your shows and have watched them for years, so thanks for the hard work you put into them, they are very interesting and informative. I have learned a lot.

Can you please give ideas for home who were built before indoor plumbing was invented. They built my bathroom into my kitchen in the 1950's so my space is 4'x6'. It would be really helpful to learn what I can do for this type of space. Thanks so much!

I know exactly what you mean. My bathroom is 7'6" by 6' 7". Its small the house i live in was the house i grew up in and was built in 1952. Very hard figuring out anything.

Your solution is to not spend so much time in the bathroom. just do your business and get out. My bathroom has room for a sink and a tub/shower. I never take baths, I always take a shower and we don't pay that much for water. Some bathroom spaces in older homes just can't be changed very easily especially with the existing plumbing! NONE of your small bathroom solutions were helpful. My home was built in 1874. My current bath measures 5' x 5.5' and accommodates a 53"tub, sink, and toilet. "Small" for you is really "large" for my ideas of a bathroom.

My house was built in 1984. The master bath is more like a childs bath. It is entirely too small. Thanks for the great ideas.

I, too, have a 6x8 bath in an older home. I also have serious budget constraints. I was relieved to find I'm not the only one who found little or no help in these ideas. The ONLY suggestion that I found helpful was the idea that you removed the drywall to add in-the-wall storage.

Wow, if I had bathrooms the size of the bathrooms in these pictures, I wouldn't need help coming up with a workable design. One of our two little bathrooms even has two doors, and both doors MUST be there or you can't get from the front hall into the back bedroom. Farmers did stuff like this when they installed plumbing in their 200 year old farmhouses. I've given up. There's no solution.

I so agree w/the comments here. My bath is about 6x8, tub/shower on one end, one sink and toilet in space. I have lots of ideas, but would love to actually see real homes w/real solutions, not these fancy houses, that looks like nobody lives in. I once used a bathroom that was an old closet, it had a shower, toilet and sink in a space about 3.5'x7', now what can you do w/a space like that????SHOW US

I also have a small bathroom needing work but my problem is.. I need a shower that fits in between toilet and vanity. I really wanted something alittle different. It's upstairs so my husbands feels weight would be an problem.

As a remodeling guy,I know ALOT of houses have a bathroom the width of a common tub/shower kit(about 5 ft)on the end wall and a length of 6-10 ft long.We need some cool ideas for this.

The small bath solutions are interesting but the pictures you show of small bathrooms aren't small. Our bathroom including the shower tub measures 6 ft x 6 ft square and the small bath solution will not work with our bathroom.

When I'm thinking "small" ... I'm thinking something you can barely change your mind in, let alone clothing and etc. Plus, I have a bathroom that has a hideous 3-piece surround in the tub. How about some ideas to deal with that eye-sore?

Need to see more than 1 angle in the room to get an idea on how it all comes together!!! Floorplan view would be great as well. Would also love to see some some ideas options if you have X, Y, Z footprints, such as 5x7, 8x10 or smaller, plus awkward shape rooms. (i.e., if you have a footprint similar to this you could do these three optins...)

I agree with all of the above - I just bought an old house ad when I say "small" bathroom I actually mean small bathroom. These designs are clearly not for small bathroom but for "normal" sized bathrooms. This section is very misleading, most people consider small being 5x7 which defines small.

I'm disappointed also,your magazine is interesting but we all don't live in mansions,have bought magazine a few times,that bathroom is huge

what about bathrooms that are 5 x7...many people have these in older homes ..we need more of those ideas

This is the size of my large bathroom. You need to think smaller.

You have no idea what a "small" bathroom is. mine is 6x8. How about getting some ideas for how "real" people live not the rich or in bankrupsy.

Where are the small baths as promised in the title? I am disappointed that the oly thing this site seems to feature is new construction and very few examples that for those of us who live in older housing like bungalows or condos in older brick buildings.

I am not very impressed with this article. I need to see pics of small bathroom ideas as was promised. most of the bathrooms featured truly are NOT small. if two vanities can be fitted, an entire wall (or two) of cabinetry large showers, lots of floor space, we are not talking about truly small bath rooms. I want to see how to make the most of spaces sized 268cm x 160cm (9'x 5'4") and the other room is 105cm x 288cm (3'6" x 9'3") - now we are talking small spaces.

To caryldefarm: I don't know how handy you are but, you could go to your local craft store, purchase a framed shadow box big enough to look like a window, install your favorite scenic poster on the inside of the glass or rice paper, line the inside with rope lighting (http://www.birddogdistributing.com/rope-light-installation.php) using mounting clips (http://www.birddogdistributing.com/mounting-rope-lights.php), and VIOLA! You have a "window". Good luck.

One of my pet peeves concerning home decorating and remodeling shows and magazines is just what was mentioned earlier, rarely are dimensions given. With wide-angle lens, photos can be deceiving. Please be a leader in the decor/renovation/remodeling media outlets and make a point of giving this info. Thank you in advance

Yes, you provide many photos of great ideas. But aren't these slideshows aimed at helping your readers to solve design and planning issues? Helpful Hint: You owe it to your readers to give room dimensions for each photo.

What are the room dimensions? How "small" can this bathroom be, when space allows lining two walls with cabinets?
