Existing cabinetry got a new look with paint, and cabinet doors were removed to create display space. New stainless-steel appliances and granite countertops made up for the money saved on cabinetry. A custom-made island, refinished hardwood floors, and a ceramic-tile backsplash complete the room’s makeover.
