Shortening the window made it possible to move the sink and create a more efficient kitchen. Black tile countertops beautifully contrast the clean look of painted white cabinetry, pumpkin-color walls, and the butcher-block table that serves as a central island. Existing appliances were reused to help meet the bottom line.
