See-Through Cabinets

Windows continue to be a design element with a lot of impact. People are often willing to forgo upper cabinets if the space can be used for more windows. Place them for the view—whether it’s picturesque nature or a backyard play area for the kids—as well as for the light.

Glass-front cabinets mount directly to a wall of windows to flood this kitchen with natural light. Note the way these cabinets—with glass doors on both sides—are repeated above the peninsula to serve as a room divider that puts dinnerware on display.
