$500 Makeover: Dowdy to City Chic

It took less than $500 to transform this kitchen from dowdy to city chic.
After the Makeover

A little reorganizing and a few upgrades infused this condo kitchen with a new look. A fresh coat of paint, a new tile backsplash, and custom built-ins were among the easy alterations that made a big difference.

This is called DIY for a reason...that is why it cost $488 for the redo...that is why the pricing IS realistic

I'm a handyman in Delaware and to answer your question about having someone else do it, I'd say two days labor or about $700. The trouble is finding the right handyman. DoverHandyman.com

I'm being cynical, I know, but the total cost of your project is $488.00 which is the cost, only, of materials. We all want to be DIY-ers, but many of us are not, and therefore must rely on paying someone to facilitate improvements. I'm just asking that you be a bit more realistic in terms of what "improvements" actually cost to have completed.

$500 for the Full makeover? $229 paid for the backspash tile; then how much $ to have it installed?
