Spice Storage
A pullout next to the cooktop keeps oils, vinegars, and other cooking staples out of sight yet close at hand. Storing away extra bottles and jars keeps the counters of this midcentury modern home clean and uncluttered, perfect for the style's minimal aesthetic.
Rubbermaid used to produce drawers of this idea to be installed in empty shelving, being available in various widths and heights. Very handy. I haven't seen them lately and wonder if they're still in production.
Does anyone know if having the oils so near a heat source is good for them? I think I once heard to store oils in a dark space (this is) and away from heat to preserve them longer.
