This remodeled 15x12-foot bathroom combines the basics -- sink and toilet -- with the luxury of a separate tub and shower in a relatively compact space. The corner shower and freestanding tub occupy one wall, leaving space at the end of the tub for freestanding storage.
On the opposite wall (visible here in the mirror to the right of the shower), built-in cabinetry encompasses a sink, dressing table, and storage. The toilet fits into the corner beside the vanity.

I agree with the 5' x 8' bathroom. You open the door and the door hits the wall on the left with the toilet immediately on the right, then the sink and the tub straight ahead. Very outdated and very small.
3/10/2010 09:08:06 PM Report AbuseThank you, lazidaisies; you stole my thunder; in the real world, we are dealing with older houses, with what are considered "small bathrooms", I suppose. We're trying to maximize what we have . . . please be more realistic with examples (and fixtures) we can afford. I don't need to see $4,000 tubs in a 16 x 18 bathroom; show me what we can do with a $600 tub from a do it yourself store in an 8x8 bathroom or very small (5x8)master bath.
2/26/2010 03:43:08 PM Report AbuseMy bathroom is roughly 9 x 9 with one window. I also need to incorporate a washer and dryer. A large shower will do rather than a tub.
