As we continue to place an ever-higher value on being home and gathering around the table for family meals, it's only natural that higher priority is being placed on the aromas of baking breads, cakes, and pies. The increasing use of baking centers in kitchen designs speaks to our cocooning trend and the movement toward better-equipped, task-specific kitchen setups.
Large or small, these centers keep staple ingredients, small appliances, and other essentials together, limiting legwork for confectioners. Baking centers commonly include lowered countertops and marble inserts for smooth rolling and butcher-block insets for slicing fruit. And for a pinch of style, these special setups often feature tasteful home decor that lets them blend with the rest of the cooking space.

This needs to be addressed in a much larger way. I have searched and searched for ideas for a baking center and need more ideas and information. Would like to actually see photos of baking centers, lists of items to incorporate into the center....help, hurry....this summer is my kitchen remodel!
