How Does Magnetic Induction Work?

The Difference

With magnetic induction there is no exposed coil, open flame, or heated surface. Electricity is passed through a coil of copper below the ceramic surface of the cooktop into the cookware. This creates heat in the pan. But without a magnetic pot or pan on the cooktop, there is no heat. All the heat is produced in the cookware. The cooktop itself does not get hot.

The Benefit

Magnetic induction lets you heat food even faster than with gas and includes the convenience and safety of electricity. Numerous power levels provide precise control, and the ceramic-glass cooktop is easy to clean.
