Step 8: Install additional rows.
As you lock in new rows, stagger the seams at least 6 inches. You can start a new row with the previous row’s scrap, but don’t use plank pieces shorter than 12 inches.
Step 9: Cut the last plank to length.
When you reach the end of a row, cut the last plank to length, maintaining a ¼-inch expansion gap between the wall and edge of plank. Allow the same ¼-inch expansion space when installing around plumbing pipes.
