Mosaic Masterpiece

Step 1: Clean and lightly sand door.

Step 2: Apply a stain-blocking primer and two to three coats of white latex paint, allowing paint to dry after each coat.

Step 3: Break flat dishes or buy packaged ceramic pieces at crafts stores.

Step 4: On the raised panel area, lay pieces like a puzzle, leaving about 1/8 inch between pieces.

Step 5: Once pieces are arranged, adhere one at a time to cabinet door with wood or ceramic glue. Let dry overnight.

Step 6: Apply grout between the pieces, keeping the outside edge of the mosaic design smooth; allow it to dry.

Step 7: Gently sand rough spots and polish the ceramic pieces.
