A stencil and frosty-white glass paint transform this door.

Materials to Buy

  • 1x4-inch wood trim
  • Stain-blocking primer
  • White latex paint
  • Window glass
  • Frosty-white glass paint
  • Decorative lattice stencil
  • Pushpoints
  • Arch raised-panel cabinet door

Tools to Gather

  • Router
  • Fine sandpaper
  • Damp cloth

Here's the original door.

Step 1:
Route out the door’s raised panel.

Step 2: Clean and lightly sand door.

Step 3: Apply a stain-blocking primer and two-to-three coats of white latex paint, allowing paint to dry after each coat.

Step 4: Have a piece of plain window glass cut to size at a glass or hardware store.

Step 5: Paint the glass using a stencil and frosty-white glass paint, repositioning the stencil as you fill the entire glass area. Allow to air dry.

Step 6: Position glass in door using pushpoints to hold it in place.
